Anderson Silva Vs. Michael Bisping set as UFC London Main Event

1916996_732713323497517_1460635757797638220_nToday the UFC announced that Michael Bisping will no longer be fighting Gegard Mousasi at UFC London but will now be fighting Anderson Silva in the main event.

Bisping Vs. Mousasi was definitely interesting but the prospect of Silva fighting on UK shores against one of the biggest fighters in the UK definitely take this event to a new level.

Bisping is coming off of a decision win over Thales Leites in July at UFC Glasgow while Silva will be returning from a 1 year suspension, Silva won his last fight against Nick Diaz but the unanimous decision win was overturned after Silva tested positive for drostanolone and androsterone. Subsequently Diaz also tested positive for marijuana metabolites.

Bisping has been campaigning for a fight with Silva for years and even though he doesn’t hold the middleweight title anymore this is still a fun fight and a win could put Bisping closer to that illustrious UFC title shot.
