Cain Velasquez gets rematch against Fabricio Werdum

Dana White confirmed on “UFC Tonight” that Cain Velasquez is getting the rematch against Fabricio Werdum.

Werdum beat Velasquez in June by submission and in doing so claimed the UFC heavyweight title. Werdum beat Mark Hunt to claim the interim title and then unified it with his win over Velasquez, Velasquez seemed to run out of gas due to the altitude in Mexico City and was submitted in the third round.

This fight was originally set for 2014 but due to injury was pushed back and effectively was a year in the making.

No date is set but it looks likely that it will be late 2015 or early 2016
