Five fights confirmed for UFC Dublin

“On Saturday, October 24 UFC® will make its highly anticipated return to Dublin, Ireland. And with less than four weeks until tickets to the event go on sale, the organisation has confirmed five exciting match ups that will feature on the fight card.”

Duffy vs poirier

The main event for UFC Dublin has be set as Joe Duffy Vs Dustin Poirier, Duffy is coming off of a great submission win against BJJ brazilian black belt Ivan Jorge at UFC Glasgow.

Since losing to Conor McGregor, Poirier has two straight wins inside the Octagon. The move up to lightweight has been great for Poirier and now puts him up there as one of the biggest threats in the 155lbs division.

Also on the card will be Ireland’s Cathal Pendred, he will be facing  unbeaten English man and UFC newcomer Tom Breese. Pendred recently suffered his first loss inside the UFC, dropping a decision to John Howard at UFC 189, before the loss Pendred was on a 4 fight winning streak inside the Octagon. Breese defeated Luiz Dutra with a spectacular TKO back in May and will be looking to stop Pendred getting another win in front of the Irish crowd.

Also recently announced for the card:

Northern Ireland’s  Norman Parke Vs Reza Madadi

Park will be looking to bounce back after two straight losses and European favourite Madadi will be looking to get his career back on track after a two year layoff

Scott Askham Vs Krzysztof Jotko

Englishman Askham recently won via TKO in Dublin and Polish fighter Jotko will be returning from almost a year off due to injury.

Garreth McLellan Vs Bubba Bush

South African McLellan made his UFC debut in April where he dropped a decision loss to Polish fighter Bartosz Fabinski. Bush lost his debut but the result was overturned by the Nevada athletic commission due to his opponent testing positive for a banned substance.
