Gilbert Melendez Steps in to face Al Iaquinta at UFC Fight Night 71

 

Gil Melendez opts for a quick turnaround as he steps into face Al Iaquinta at UFC Fight Night 71 in place of the injured Bobby Green

Iaquinta is currently on a four-fight winning streak, with his most recent win being a controversial split decision over Jorge Masvidal at UFC Fight Night 63 (the one where he lost it at the fans for booing him)

Melendez fought just this past weekend at UFC 188 where he narrowly lost a split decision to Eddie Alvarez.  Melendez came into the the UFC with much hype but has had a pretty hard time so far, this fight with Iaquinta will be just 4 week out from his loss to Alvarez.
