SFC 11 – Homecoming
Kieran Malone Vs Antanas Jazbutis
Round 1:
Jazbutis keeping his guard high and tight, planting his feet and throwing out strong barrages of punches, some get through Malone’s guard but he shakes them off and lands a couple of good high kicks on Jazbutis, Malone clinches and lands some nice knees before taking Jazbutis to the mat, Jazbutis is trying hard to create space and get up but he is only giving Malone more room to work. The round finishes with Malone landing strikes from the top.
Round 2:
Jazbutis throwing his powerful combos again but Malone is dealing with them better this round, mounting an offense of his own. An explosive takedown attempt from Malone sends Jazbutis grabbing for the cage but Malone still gets him to the mat, Jazbutis pulls rubber guard but Malone escapes and stacks him against the cage, driving through him while landing short head shots. Jazbutis tries multiple times to get up but Malone keeps him tight against the cage, finishing the second round strong with strikes from the top.
Round 3:
Both fighters look to keep it standing early in the first, Malone landing some shots and Jazbutis returning them, Malone shoots in but it looks to be a little short but he improves his distant, turns the corner and puts Jazbutis on the mat, Jazbutis counters and takes Malone’s back, Malone fights out and gets back to his feet. With a cry of shoot from his corner as Jazbutis throws a weak kick Malone takes Jazbutis to the mat late in the third. Jazbutis almost gets to his feet but he been sounds to end the fight.
Kieran Malone wins via unanimous decision.
Dan Hope Vs Charles Henri
Round 1:
Collected start from both fighters, sizing each other out, Hope get’s close, sinks the hip in and tosses Henri to the mat, taking top, side position. Hope tries to work from side control but Henri looks strong, holding him down, Henri pulls it back to half guard with Hope trying to posture up and get strikes in, Henri pulls it back to full guard and Hope tries to work some short elbows to finish the round.
Round 2:
Hope lands a nice inside kick to the knee early that send Henri down as if he slipped but he gets up and Hope lands another 2 that look to do damage. Henri shoots in for a takedown but it’s not explosive enough and Hope goes with it turning Henri on the way down landing in Henri’s full guard. Hope stays low and heavy on Henri only allowing space when he comes up to strike, Henri does his best to try and create space but Hope is keeping his hips low putting all his weight through Henri, Henri pulls guard towards the end of the round with Hope landing more short elbows to finish.
Round 3:
Hope comes out and starts off with low kicks to the knee and then moves up and lands a nice high kick, Hope having the advantage on the feet here prompts Henri to shoot in, putting Hope against the cage. Hope reverses and gets Henri to the mat, Henri locks up his guard forcing Hope to work for position. Hope continues to work for position with Henri keeping a strong guard not letting Hope advance, this continues for the rest of the round.
Dan Hope wins via unanimous decision.
Sean Hughes Vs Alex Feild
Round 1:
Both fighters come out and test their range to begin with, Hughes goes for and gets a takedown, Feild grabs an arm and tries to sink in an armbar but Hughes powers out and the fight goes back to the feet, a scramble sends it back to the mat with Felid finishing the round on top.
Round 2:
Hughes tries to catch Feild with a high kick early but he defends and goes for a high front kick of his own, just missing its mark. The fighters come together and grapple against the cage for a bit until a scramble across the cage sends Feild to the mat, Hughes works hard on top but doesn’t do much damage, even with getting mount.
Round 3:
Hughes tries another kick early in the round but Feild counters with a great cross and then swarms Hughes against the cage, dragging him to the mat, Hughes powers up to his feet but a scramble send him to the mat again, Hughes gets top position and ends up in Feild’s guard. Feild closes his guard, defending till the end of the fight.
Sean Hughes wins via unanimous decision.
Chris Duncan Vs Makinde Adeyemi
Round 1:
Both fighters get their range to start with until Adeyemi catches Duncan clean on the chin sending him to the mat, Adeyemi swarms him but Duncan does well to recover. Adeyemi works from top position trying to pass guard for the rest of the round with Duncan recovering quick and doing well to keep Adeyemi at bay.Remove featured image
Round 2:
Duncan throws a lunging shot setting up a nice takedown but Adeyemi defends, Duncan sinks his hip in and tresses the big Adeyemi to the mat, Adeyemi tries to counter but Duncan powers through and gets top position. Adeyemi gets out and Duncan locks his legs on Adeyemi shoulders and locks in a great triangle but Adeyemi is a strong guy and breaks out. Adeyemi scrambles and Duncan gets his back, he scrambles again and Duncan this time gets mount, landing good shots until the bell.
Round 3:
Hard second round for both fighters with the stand up here being tighter and more composed, after some minimal exchanges Duncan shoots in and almost gets a full takedown but Adeyemi defends and Duncan tries for a single leg against the cage for the remainder of the round.
Chris Duncan wins via unanimous decision.
Nathan Hughes Vs Damon Donald
Round 1:
2 tall fighters in this one, both using their reach well early. Hughes is using good headwork to avoid Donald’s strikes but catches one clean but it doesn’t have much effect, both fighters grapple on the cage for a bit before separating. Hughes catches Donald with a great right hand sending him to the mat, Donald survives and gets back up but it’s not long before Hughes breaks through his defence again and lands another right sending Donald to the mat for the last time, Hughes lands ground and pound until the referee steps in and stops the fight.

Kier Mccrimmon Vs Armando Parente
Round 1:
Mcrimmon comes out and takes Parente to the cage putting him on his back, Parente locks up his guard but Mcrimmon slams out of it decides to stay in it, from Parentes guard, Mcrimmon lands some good strikes but Parente pushes out with his legs and tries to get up but Mcrimmon counters and gets side control to finish the round.
Round 2:
Parente swings wild leaving Mcrimmon to duck and get in a takedown early in the 2nd round, Mcrimmon keeps Parente tight against the cage and works from half guard. The fight moves out from the cage a bit allowing Parente to try a couple of sub attempts, Mcrimmon pulls his arm out and stands up. Parente has some success on his feet here but ends up on his back to finish the round.
Round 3:
Parente comes out and swings his hook from the hotel kitchen leaving him open for an easy takedown, Mcrimmon gets into guard and begins to work from there, not doing much damage but keeping busy on top. Eventually the referee sees no advancement and stands both fighters up, Parente tries another wild hook and gets taken down again in the last 10 seconds of the round.

Mark Ewan Vs Martin Russell
Round 1:
Both fighters quick to try and get the KO, throwing strong strikes, some quick exchanges and Russell gets Ewan against the cage and lands a good takedown but Ewan gets up pretty east, more solid exchanges on the feet with Russell shooting in and getting another takedown against the cage, the round ends with Russell in a dominant it position
Round 2:
Ewan opens up with a lovely combination that looks to have Russell in trouble, he he shoots in for the takedown and get it, Russel gets mount and lands some strikes but Ewan scrambles and manages to get back to his feet. Russel gets another takedown in the centre of the cage but Ewan locks up and arm and looks to go for a sub, Russel gets out and finishes the fight in Ewan’s guard.
Round 3:
Tentative start to the 3rd round but quick enough Ewan lands some vicious kicks and then loads up on punches putting Russell in trouble, Russell scrambles almost certainly going to attempt a takedown as it worked in the first 2 rounds. Russell shoots but Ewan sprawls and gets out, Russell stands up quickly with the opening to catch Ewan on the way up but he doesn’t engage. The fight goes to the mat and Russell gets top position to finish the round.
Martin Russell wins via unanimous decision.
Neil McLay Vs Gavin White
Round 1:
White comes out and catches McLay but McLay shakes it off quick, McLay lands a deafening body kick but White keeps composed and lands a good leg kick of his own. White is throwing out the jab but brings his hands back almost to his waist, leaving him quite exposed. Both fighters grapple and White gets it to the mat but doesn’t do much, McLay attempts to get back up but White gets him back to the mat, White keeps dominant position till the bell.
Round 2:
McLay comes out and gets White against the cage and goes for a double leg takedown but leaves his neck exposed on the way in, White tries to grab it but McLay gets it to the ground avoiding any sub attempts. White counters, rolls and gets in a good position but McLay then counters leaving White against the cage and McLay on top, White grabs an arm and tries to get a Kimura from his back but the bell sounds stopping the sub attempt.
Round 3:
Both fighters grapple quickly, White shoots with McLay going with it, grabbing the head and rolling on the way down into mount, the guillotine is an option but White escapes. McLay lands some good shots with White trying to scramble but McLay gets his back and goes for the choke, White defends and manages to get back to his feet. Both fighters scramble to the cage and the fight hits the mat again this time with White on top, he lands a few shots but the bell sounds ending the match.
Neil McLay wins via unanimous decision.
Phil Carruth Vs Ryan Campbell
Round 1:
Carruth catches Campbell early and goes for the clinch, Carruth looks to hit the ground attempting a Guillotine but Campbell counters and gets top position , Carruth goes for the Guillotine Aaron and this time gets it, choking Campbell unconscious

Kam Cheng Vs Darren Docherty
Round 1:
Docherty come out fast and throws some strikes early but Cheng counters and lands some good strikes of his own, Docherty ducks and catches Cheng with a nice counter left hook built it doesn’t seem to phase him. Both fighters grapple and the fight goes to the mat, Cheng gets top position and lands strikes from the top but after time the referee stands them up and the bell goes.
Round 2:
Cheng comes out and catches Docherty forcing him to clinch, Cheng drags him to the mat, gets mount and lands strikes till the referee stops it.
Kam Cheng wins via TKO (referee stoppage due to strikes) round 2
Aiden Russell Vs Patrick Hutchinson
Round 1:
Russell comes out confident throwing a multitude of strikes, nothing fight ending but keeping busy, both fighters grapple against the cage and hit the Mat, Russell gets a top dominant position but gets reversed and ends up on his back putting up a triangle choke attempt, Hutchinson does well to defend the choke and eventually slams his way out of it and goes for the guard pass. Both fighters get to their feet and the bell sounds with Russell attempting a takedown.
Round 2:
The fight goes to the Mat quick and they both end up in a similar position as before, Hutchinson passes guard but after a scramble Russell gets his back and sinks in a rear naked choke to end the fight.
Aides Russell win via sub (rear naked choke) Round 2
