Cat gets a lot of heat from MMA fans but he is idolised here. John Kavanagh of course in the corner. Kavanagh and Zahabi arguably the two best MMA coaches in the world outside of America and Brazil. What an atmosphere!!
Round 1 – tentative start. Leg kick from Cat. Tom drops Cat rushing in with a straight left. Cat missed wildly. Big counter left from Tom. Another left from Tom and Cat is busted open. Tom just stalking Cat against the fence. Cat shoots and drives Tom to cage. They break. But right lands for Cat followed by a knee. Cat rushes in again and gets tagged a few times. Right lands for Tom. Nice left from Tom. Huge straight left lands for Tom. Nice front kick to the body from Tom. Tom hurts Cat with two straight lefts and Cat is dropped! Tom follows him and it only takes a few shots for the referee to stop things.
