Joanne Calderwood out of Dec 10 fight with Paige VanZant *Updated*
The first major change to the UFC’s packed December schedule has apparently hit.
PVZ’s teammate, Justin Buchholz broke the news this morning on Team Alpha Male’s Stud Radio show, saying that Calderwood was out of her fight with PVZ due to undisclosed reasons and that Rose Namajunas will step in as replacement.
Calderwood last fought at UFC Glasgow, getting back to winning ways via a unanimous decision victory against late replacement Cortney Casey.
VanZant won her last fight in September by armbar, defeating Alex Chambers at UFC 191. With this news out but not official reports seem to pin number 3 ranked Rose Namajunas as the replacement.
Bad news for Scottish fight fans but this is still a fantastic fight that would seem to be a step up in competition for PVZ.

“Just to let everyone know that I’m okay. Everything was going great but I hurt my knee during wrestling last week and I haven’t been able to train since and we reckon it’s going to be another week before I can get back to light training which obviously isn’t idea in this stage of my camp. As much as I’m gutted I’m just glad that it’s nothing too serious and that I’m only going to be out for a few weeks hopefully.
I wanted the just strap it up and hit her with it idea, but in this sport things like this happen and I want to make sure I can come back from this little hurdle sensibly and with a vengeance.

UFC Vegas takes place on Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be airing on UFC Fight Pass.
