ACB 47 Fight announcements

ACB Glasgow Tickets Released This Thursday!

Tickets for our debut event on UK soil, ACB 47 in Glasgow at the SSE Hydro, go on sale on Thursday the 11th of August at 9am.

With big names like Whiteford, Parke, Rogers and Wilkinson already announced we are pleased to bring you some more of the match ups that are signed and will be filling this exciting card on October the 1st.

Alongside the previously announced Lightweight bout between Norman Parke and Andrew fisher, a fight that see’s Parke return to the cage for the first time since leaving the UFC come up against the impressive Fisher who’s riding a 2 fight win streak both of which came via 2nd round stoppages, we are very excited to announce the following match-ups:

Lightweight Bout – 155lbs/70kgs

Ryan ‘Big Baby’ Scope vs Yusup Umarov

After a two year hiatus from competing in the cage undefeated Ryan Scope looks set to return to action and to the lightweight division at ACB 47 in Glasgow on October the 1st. He will be taking on the very impressive Russian fighter Yusup Umarov.

Both fighters hold similar records. Scope is 8 and 0 and Umarov has only tasted defeat once in his 9 fight career. With fourteen finishes between them this is a contest that looks unlikely to go the full three rounds.

Prior to the injury that kept Scope on the sidelines he was touted as one of the rising prospects in European MMA. Time away doesn’t mean time wasted though as Ryan has continued to train and has been a major training partner of one of the UK’s top Featherweights Brendan Loughnane and now at a weight that suits him with a body that free from injury we look forward to seeing the new and improved Scope make his return.

His return comes against the very stiff test that is Yusup Umarov. An excellent striker with the ability to put anyone in his weight class to sleep Umarov has proved his worth and talent on the Russian scene. With two fights already this year and with both of them wins in the very first round Scope will have little time to shake any ring rust he may feel stepping back in the cage as the very imposing Umarov is not a fighter anyone can accuse of starting slowly.

Middleweight Bout – 185lbs/84kgs

Lee ‘The Butcher’ Chadwick vs Ibragim Chuzhigaev

ACB 47 in Glasgow on October the 1st at the SEE Hydro has another exciting addition with the announcement of the middleweight bout of Lee ‘The Butcher’ Chadwick vs Ibragim Chuzhigaev being added to the card.

Chadwick has stepped in to the cage 33 times already in his career and is currently enjoying a green streak as he has a record of 10 wins and just 2 losses in his last 12 fights with his last two fights not even making it out of the first minute yet alone the first round. Coming from the formidable Atherton Submission Wrestling camp under head coach Daren Morris it’s no surprise that his grappling has lead him to gaining 11 of his 21 career wins via submission.

Chuzhigaev is a natural and aggressive striker who mixes up excellent combinations with a pace and a gas tank that has seen many of his opponents wilt under the pressure. Despite a shaky start to his professional career in 2012 with 3 losses in a row he has since turned that form around and is currently riding a 5 fight win streak with his last 3 fights all being finished in the 1st round. These performances have earmarked him as one of ACB’s hottest talents and with Chadwick and Chuzhigaev both keen on a finish this fight looks set to bring fireworks to SEE Hydro on October the 1st.
