Bec Rawlings thrives off chaos and negativity, expects fans to spit on her at the Hydro
‘Rowdy’ sure is keeping up the villain role (via Daily Record):
‘I want to eat her soul and maul her face off. People are never the same again after they fight me. I don’t go in there to lay on them or go for a decision, I expect to hurt them. I expect a first round finish and for JoJo to be crying on the floor afterwards. All of the Scottish men in the crowd can cry as well. I’m expecting to have people spit on me when I walk out. I thrive off chaos and negativity. All I care about is getting in the cage, hurting my opponent and making the money. It doesn’t have to be pretty. Last year was the hardest one of my life and now I’m surrounded by positive people. It’s my time.’
Rawlings (6-4) showed promise recently – snapping a 2 fight losing streak by dominating her way to a submission victory over Lisa Ellis at UFC Fight Night 65. Calderwood (9-1), meanwhile, is trying to bounce back after the upset from Maryna Moroz in April, JoJo attributed her poor performance to personal issues and has promised that those issues are over with and that she is ready for this fight.
Bec can certainly talk a good game, whether she stays true to her word and brings it to JoJo come July 18th is another story.
