CAST REVEALED FOR THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER: TEAM McGREGOR vs. TEAM FABER
Coming up in just over 1 weeks’ time is the new season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ featuring coaches Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber.
“Las Vegas – Competitors from 11 different countries have been cast for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter® led by UFC® interim featherweight champion and proud Irishman Conor McGregor, opposite former WEC® featherweight champion Urijah “The California Kid” Faber. The premiere episode, debuting on September 10 at 3am BST (repeated September 10 at 10pm BST) on BT Sport, will showcase 32 fighters competing for one of 16 spots featuring eight Europeans and eight Americans and the opportunity to be coached by two of the sport’s best athletes.“
This ultimately is a strange season as the two coaches will not fight each other at the end of the show, instead, McGregor will finally face Jose Aldo in a unification title bout.
One key fighter in the cast for us is Scot Martin Delaney, Delaney has helped us out in the past and we wish him all the best.
Even with the coaches not fighting after the show it should at least be extremely entertaining and with the talent on display should provide some great fights.
“The show will feature 12 episodes airing Thursday mornings in the UK and Ireland on BT Sport (part of the Setanta pack in Ireland), and repeated on Thursday evenings. Each episode’s winner will advance in the single-elimination tournament, leading to the season finale card on December 11 in Las Vegas. The finale will be headlined by former lightweight champion and current second-ranked featherweight Frankie Edgar taking on Faber teammate, No. 3 Chad Mendes.“
