Immortals Fight Promotions 5 Event Preview
Immortals Fight Promotions returns to Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom this Saturday. The promotion has fast gained a great reputation on the Scottish scene, putting on some of the top fights Scotland has seen recently and their 5th show should prove no different!
The pick of the amateur fights sees Alexander Campbell of Higher Level Martial Arts take on experienced Dawid Kostecki of Immortals Gold Team – who you got? Our preview is below
Dawid Kostecki (Gold Team) v Alexander Campbell (Higher Level) @ 70 kg
Undoubtedly the pick of the amateur fights on Saturday, experienced amateur campaigner Dawid Kostecki takes on highly regarded prospect Alex Campbell.
Whilst this being a title fight is baffling to some; Campbell most recently was competing as a featherweight and Kostecki has a .500 record at best, it doesn’t detract from the quality of the fight at all!
Kostecki is one of the most experienced amateurs in Scotland and is always in exciting fights; win or lose Kostecki very rarely goes the distance. In his most recent display at On Top, he was victorious with a KO of the night performance! He always comes to fight, and with a hometown crowd behind him, the Immortals Gold Team man will be even more fired up than usual and I’m sure would love to add another KO to his resume of victories, which are most always by finish.
Campbell is moving up from featherweight and this should only add to his power. In his most recent performance at SFC, he wowed the crowd his dominant wrestling and powerful hands, dropping his opponent more than once en route to a finish victory. Campbell trains out of undoubtedly Scotland’s top MMA gym and moving up in weight will presumably only add power to his hands which have overwhelmed past opponents as it is!
Both guys are well rounded and riding a wave of momentum and this one is easily the fight on this card that you don’t want to miss if you’re a fan of Scottish MMA!
