11800470_660209777448850_7912147858250932744_nEemon Cramb(1-0) is a Scottish Mixed Martial Artist fighting out of Impakt MMA in Hong Kong. You read right. Hong Kong. Eamon recently fought and defeated Bernard Fung in his pro debut under the Impi Fighting Championship banner.

Eamon won the fight by second round TKO winning in impressive fashion. With only two months to prepare for the fight Eamon knew what he had to work on,

“I had around two months to prepare for the fight. Obviously after focussing on striking so much my grappling wasn’t where it should of been so I focussed very intensely on that with Kev Reed, an MMA veteran from Wales who is a very strong grappler.”

“I also trained under Professor Rodrigo Caporal at his ATOS gym in Hong Kong. I would go there for BJJ and MMA sparring.”

Going into the fight Eamon had a clear fight plan, “My game plan was to keep it standing defend the takedowns and knock him out. But I actually used better wrestling and cage control to hold him against the fence and land some big elbows and knees to get the TKO early in the second round.

23 year old Eamon has a background in Kyokoshin Karate having trained and competed since he was 11. He took up Muay Thai at 16. For the last four years Eamon has focused on K-1 and Muay Thai winning the Scottish K-1 WKA 79kg belt and being the no.1 ranked Muay Thai UK light cruiser weight.

Eamon moved to Hong Kong in January this year to work as a personal trainer and martial arts instructor at Impakt MMA. His head coach and boss is Alain Ngalani a 4 times world Muay Thai champion.

With a perfect start to his professional career it’s pretty much straight back to business for Eamon, “I’m coming home for a short break, just ten days to visit family and friends then straight back to work and looking to get a K-1 or Thai fight in October and ideally a boxing fight out here before the end of the year.”

Whatever happens it’s great to see a Scottish Mixed Martial Artist gaining success overseas and wish Eamon all the best in his career.
